US Chess memberships

Our tournaments are rated by US Chess. All players must have a membership in order to participate. One-year membership cost for adults is $54, seniors (65+) $48, young adults (18–21) $33, and youths (to age 17) $24.

If you would like a two-year membership, or a subscription to Chess Life, or a family plan membership (saves money for families with 3+ players), you can purchase your membership directly from US Chess.

All players (new and renewals)

Enter your name as you would like it to appear on your US Chess membership record.

US Chess requires a unique email address to be associated with each membership. If you are a parent and you have more than one child who is a player, be sure to use a different email for each one.

Do you have a rating from another federation? (FIDE, etc.) If so, tell us which one. Provide your ID number if you know it.
